I know I already did an intro journal but I wanted to do the Intro Journal Meme because it's been a long time since I've done any journal memes in general. I used to do some of them back in Deviantart days before they changed it and made the site less fun. During my first week here, I wasn't aware of the intro journal memes as I was new and still trying to figure it out how to navigate the site. I'm a middle-aged childfree woman(I get mistaken for being a college student due to my youngish face and my short height).

How long have you been drawing?
I believe I started drawing as far as I was three or four years old but at that time, it was mostly scribbles I do remember attempting to draw a person but it just came out as a fat blob with glitter I added on along with stick arms and legs and funny looking head. XD Keep in mind, there was no iPad for me to draw as this was back in the late 80s when we just used paper and pencil or crayons. :3 I don't have that picture anymore but I do remember it.
But throughout my childhood years, I did draw a lot as I had a lot of imagination and I got some oil painting lessons when I was sixteen. I also learned how to use Photoshop for the first time when I attended college in Orlando in 2007. I ended up using that program a lot and you'll see some of my future upload old pics I'll post soon with a date, you can see how far I came along.

Who inspired you to do art?
I have to say it was Bob Ross because as I mentioned before about the oil painting lessons, I first watched him when I was fourteen on PBS channel and came across his show. I was mesmerized by his painting and his calm nature, and it motivated me to paint and draw. Now I haven't done landscapes for years but I do want to go back to doing oil painting again.

Yellow, silver, and lilac purple

Do you own a pet?
We used to own two cats back in the 80s; Sherlock and Bambi. Sherlock was a Tuxedo cat while Bambi is nearly all black. She was given away because of my allergies(I'm allergic to cats) and Sherlock was accidentally run over as he's an outdoor cat and didn't make it. We also used to have a pet fish but it was my stepfather's until he passed away three years ago and Mom and I couldn't really afford to keep them so we gave the fish to the pet shop so others could adopt them. We just mostly have plants.

So where did you find out about Sheezy?
I found out from others on Tumblr and Bluesky but I was unable to grab a spot so I just bookmarked the site and waited till I was able to grab a spot.

How did you get a username?
It was originally for my OC's comic I was working on back in Orlando in 2007. I very much remember the day I came up with that name. I went to Pizza Hut for lunch one day on International Drive(it's still there by the way) with my notebook and it was in late September, during the week on a day when I didn't have classes. After I placed my order and wanted to pass the time for my pizza to arrive, I opened up my notebook and wrote some ideas for the comic. It took me some time to come up with a name until I got this one which is Faerie-Star and I added the letter 'V' at the end which means Virgo as it's my horoscope. A week after I came up with that name, on Sunday afternoon, is when I signed up for my Devinatart account on October 7, 2007, with my username, Faerie-StarV, and have been using that name ever since.

Dark chocolate with some bit of raspberries in it

Is there any advice for new artists you have?
If you're drawing for the first time, don't get upset that it didn't turn out the way you wanted. You are not going to get it right on the first try and there's nothing wrong with your first pic looking bad, it's normal. Don't think that many artists you looked up to started their first pics perfectly because here's the thing, they did not! If you see their first pics, there's is no better than yours so don't feel bad that your art is 'horrible'. No one starts out perfect, it's fine to make mistakes on the first try. Don't let others make you feel bad that your art is not 'good', they don't want you to improve, they want to tear down your self-esteem so you can give up so they can be 'better' than you. I've seen the AI people bullying the new younger artists on Deviantart just because they are drawing for the first time, whether it be pencil or tablet pen and it caused them to give up and leave. All because the AI people think that everyone's art should be 'flawless' like the lifeless AI pics they made. Just block them and ignore them.
Another thing I should add is that even if you improve your artwork, there are going to be some jerks who are not going to love it and sadly, you can't really make them to like you. If it's not their cup of tea, then they should just leave the artists to be. Don't take it personally if they're not a fan of your stuff or insulting you, especially if they're strangers. If they're your friends, that's a different story.
Other than that, have fun and don't treat everything like it's a competition.

And finally, the final question. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I'm more of a night owl although I'm trying to break the habit of not staying up too late XD
