another style challenge drawing with varian! this one called for a flustered expression bc why would i not go for a ghibli hair poof

I don't have much of a ramble this time around- mostly because i don't really know what to say about studio ghibli that hasn't already been said LOL

I haven't watched every ghibli movie, but my favorite has always been spirited away (basic I know, w/e). HOWEVER! This year I watched castle in the sky for the first time and that nearly skyrocketed (pun) into the favorite spot to share with my other fave. it comes with steampunk mechanisms aplenty

Doing this made me realize how... soft? the shapes of ghibli feel. corners are more rounded out than they are in my style and others. I tried to de-saturate certain tones as well to match better with ghibli's color choices (at least, colors that Feel more ghibli to me lol). Ghibli has lots of natural and soft vibes, I think
