ITS BLU'S BIRTHDAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLU BOY
This funky creature was originally inspired by a rare pet i caught in World of Warcraft when i was like... 11?? Just before the Cataclysm expansion came out! He didn't become a character until 6 years ago however!
His story is long and filled with so much trauma and self doubt n~n he's a poor guy who doesnt know what to do with his emotions and cant trust anybody.

In this scene (the party hat is edited in) he managed to defend the camp he had been living within while disguised as a whutta (the pink creature) from who was essentially his sister, but was forced to reveal his true form as a result. After defending the Whuttas from Dice he was chased off by the whuttas who hadn't recognized him, May (the pink whutta pictured here) did recognize him and ran after him. This is the scene that happens immediately after.
May attempts to comfort Blu, but when Dice initially started attacking the whutta camp May steps in to defend blu, warning him to run from the monster (The monster being Dice, because she was attacking the camp) and Blu took it to heart, assuming May was calling Dice a monster because of Dice's similar shapeshifting abilities. Blu doesn't accept May's attempts to comfort him and tries to scare may into running away, she holds her ground and blu storms off.
