I actually have dialogue for one of my commissions for once! This guy was so so fun to research for, I absolutely love Middle Eastern art, and getting to study Islamic depictions of dragons was super fun! I stole the pose from a few ancient depictions of dragons, such as those seen in tiles and relief carvings found at Takht-i Sulaimān and Viār/Viyar. Ancient Arabia and central Asia were such bastions of culture around beauty and artistic endeavors. Absolute treat to study, even a little bit.
