It feels like everything has been culminating to this. Since 2016, my goal has been to make some linear narrative work of fiction, and yet I haven't done it until now. The reason for that has been different things, at first it was that I didn't have the tools or the knowhow, then when I did get that, I was busy (with life, or other art projects) or scared (of judgement, of regret of not reaching perfection).

But I can't spin my wheels any longer! I have to commit to making this. In fact, I've had the outline for this comic done for over two years... I even fully completed a first page back in December 2021! Mind you: it was a different first page than this one. I'd share it here, but the pacing was faster (this whole page was only one panel), so I'll share it alongside page 2 or 3 (when we get through all that was on that version of the page).

I could go on and on forever about vulnerability, insecurity, all the things that come along with making and sharing art, but I'll finish up for that topic here, because look! Here it is! A comic page! Needless to say, this is only one page of a multi paged project. I'm not sure right now how long it'll be, but I do know that this beginning portion (let's call it the "prologue") will be in color, and the later portion will be black and white. I hope you'll enjoy it, and come back for page 2 (when it's done)!
