I finally got around to a new layout for my profile page. I usually try to change it every 3 months (because I need the change), but a lot has happened to me in the last little bit, and I just haven't made the time. I usually focus on fantasy creatures within the season we are in (last year was dragons and blossoms), but this year I went for swans, with the pink, green and blue colors. I'm not sure yet what I'm doing for Summer, but I'll worry about that in June (probably).

March is a hard month for me, because it lies. It claims to be Spring, taunting us with it's sudden 40/50 degree days and sunshine, and we all break out the lighter jackets and hoodies, then suddenly it snows, or hails, or there's a freak windstorm (like the last two days) and you're reminded that most of March is still Winter and you shouldn't pack away the coats just yet.

Not to mention, it is still an ugly month (at least in my location), even when the actual Spring finally arrives. It's muddy and bare, and still lacking flowers. You can't water the yard yet, because it could still turn on a dime, and you can't put away the winter clothes or leave the door open for a fresh breeze, because it will be cold in the next instant.
You still need all of the layers of blankets at night (especially when your pellet stove is having issues), and your cats want the door open, to come and go as they wish, but that makes the house too cold. Argh! I'm ready for colors and warmth now!

Thus, the reason I usually choose March layouts that are colorful, hopeful and brings some life to a very dreary existence. I'm ready for Spring! How about you? Is it Spring where you live, or still Winter? Do you get to enjoy the Seasons, or are you stuck in one for eternity?
