This is 'Eve', a woman born on Halloween and obtaining strange abilities in the years that followed. She has the power to transform into anything that scares, and she uses it for fun. Starting on her thirteenth birthday, she hosts an Annual Night of Frights, where she and a slew of ghosts, zombies, skeletons, vampires, bats, spiders, etcetera, would go out and get quick startles out of people en masse! The pre-party is very exclusive, as she hands out invites herself. This illustration is made with a mid-century modern style inspired by an artist I came across on Bluesky! Her ruby dress blends into the ruby background, and the striped parts stretch to and from the black wall like shadows. Ghosts comically take the shape of that circle and arrows pointing to the invitation in her hand. She seems to be handing it to... you! Perhaps you should take it.
