Answer each question in as much detail as you like. Skip anything you don't know or would prefer not to answer.
How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
i've maybe like 8-10 aliases over the years?
What does your current username mean?
it's kind of supposed to be like "woah dude, that's MAD revolting. ewwwww." i was tossing up some word salad trying to figure out a new username a while ago and that's just what stuck
What is the first program you used to make digital art?
ms paint baby!
Where did you first start posting your art?
deviantart is where i started getting really serious about it, but i was posting and making connections on youtube first, way back when channels had their own pages
What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
i think it might've been neopets? i remember drawing my own jubjub desk pet as like a first grader.
Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
classic 2007 scemo sparklecat.... nothing really special, though she kind of helped me build connections with people that are still important in my life, so that's something.
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. an anime era, a watercolour phase?)
not really sure how to describe my stylistic trajectory? certainly very anime-influenced both then and now, though i'm trying to aim for some weird semi-realism these days.
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
every piece of media i have ever consumed, really, but over the last few years i have been sooooo into q hayashida's art and i really want to start implementing a lot of the same wacky textures she uses :]
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
idk i just like it :P
What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
currently a krita loyalist and going through a watercolor brush rotation... for references, i use real and/or digital posing mannequins or pictures of myself if im looking for something really specific
What improvements have you made recently?
none i think :[ i had to go on a bit of a break from doing any "real" finished art for a while because i was so overwhelmed with school, so i feel like i've stagnated really bad. but i like to think im getting better at composition ‼️
What steps would you like to take in the future?
i'm trying to relish in all the free time i have to draw this summer before i dedicate the next two years to grad school and then the rest of my life to joining the workforce.... trying to improve on all fronts 🏃🏃🏃
