I'm excited the site is back, although always a little cautious. For now just sprucin' up my profile and uploading art from the last couple years.

What a bummer. Sheezy's been one of the most exciting and feature-full social gallery sites I've joined in a long time.

I understand the logic behind it--it's really easy to get in over one's head with a project like this. Still a shame. Perhaps I'll bump into you lot again somewhere else. Until then, arrivederci.

I've seen a lot of folks making intro posts. I guess I should, too, but I never know what to say in these things! I'm a cartoonist/illustrator in my mid 30s, which is old as balls in internet terms. I like drawing animals and creatures the most. I end up doing digital color or touchups on just about everything, but I still prefer drawing and painting in physical media most of the time. I'm super into pastels nowadays, which are unfortunately very hard to scan, and photographing art well is pretty hard.

Anyway! I've been having fun browsing the uploads here. One of the great things about a new site is that it's actually possible to find new artists. I've been missing the gallery site paradigm. I find they're all either too big (i.e. hard to discover new art or be discovered) or sort of abandoned. I have early bright hopes for Sheezy!
