Making fancomics, and hopefully original comics in the future.
Current project focus: Our Assimilation AU Danny Phantom fancomics.
It's actually almost done!! I lost a lot of work early on to a computer crash, but after a few more months of letting it cook in the brain, scripting out the comic, and a few more months of traditional sketching, we're finally in the home stretch of lining and shading. It was originally going to be colored, but i decided I wanted to enjoy myself, so it'll be shaded with halftones instead.
I have more I want to do in this continuity of headcanon, so I decided to make it a full AU. It's just called the Assimilation AU, partially because that's what "Dan"/his system is called, but we want it to pay attention to more than just him.
I'm super excited for how it's coming out. I plan on making physical copies that I can cheaply bind and send to people if they can otherwise cover shipping.
lets just hope the current state of understaffed and trying to fix it doesnt stress us to the point of quitting :P

You can buy PWYW commissions, whose prices start a little over my state's minimum wage ($15 USD)- You make a request, and I draw it with the amount of effort your money offers me!
Or, are you looking for art of you, your character, or your favorite blorbo in the Danny Phantom style? You can buy a commission of that at $75 USD!
Or do you want something stunning, something unique, something you have little to no control over? If that's the case, the Experimental option may be for you! The price for those sorts of works is $350 USD due to the effort and studying of others techniques it requires.
I... Need money to live! I also have prints in my Ko-Fi shop if that's more your interest!
INDECIVISENESS ON BRANDING AND STYLE....
bear with me as i start Getting Into Customizing this place
I've noticed that one of the things that consistently stops us or dampens our mood while making art is the idea of it having no emotional impact. Even a negative reaction is better than no reaction. Yes, yes, I know, wanting attention is a "bad" reason to be an artist, I've heard that before. :P
This is annoying to experience, because we also do like the process of making art... But much like talking, and how we enjoy it- talking feels pointless to do if no one is listening.
Any chance there's advice anyone has for dealing with this, or is it as I suspect- just something you need to figure out how to deal with on your own?

EDIT: Potential advice that my friend has provided! (Paraphrased)
Find one person who's your target audience and make stuff to show them- that single person can be yourself, or a friend! Trying to make something Everyone will react to is impossible, but 1 reliable person is possible. For examples, strangers may not care about your oc... but someone who's heard infodumping about the oc and cares about them will! DMing friends with the art you want them to see can help, because it feels more meaningful to them- and also, in a discord server, it might be missed.
While this may not be useful for "audience growth," it will help you feel more confident in your work.
