atzelwurms are small, bipedal ambush predators that evolved alongside Grox. Their long prehensile tails are used not only to help them climb, But also to allow them to hang from branches and strike at their prey from above. The decendants of this species would often take refuge in the hives of Prehistoric grox ancestors, Taking care of pests and brood parasites that would intrude. Overtime this population became domesticated, with Grox actively feeding them and keeping them around.

Even in the modern day, Post-termina, Tatzelwurms remain rather unchanged externally, Aside from cybernetic modifications made to allow them to survive the harsh conditions of Grox planets. They are often kept on cargo ships as a token of good luck, As it is believe having a Tatzelwurm on board wards away disasters. Small feral populations exist throughout grox cities, Feeding on scraps and cleaner roaches.
