Ngl i find it kinda poetic how in the original story: khilana's mom was like, SUPER abusive towards her dad and would like, force him to kill cryptids meanwhile in this AU: anastasia is with a piece of shit deadbeat redditor-type and vladimir is in a very healthy stable relationship with a wizard man who was canonically murdered by his neighbor in the OG universe. That wasn't intentional but it works so well
