Ngl part of the reason why i made scout punk (besides the fact that i like the irony of them being cursed by a spirit that forces them to look kawaii) is because my political opinions really matured when i got to my mid-late teens and i got banned off twitter (turns out elon doesn't like getting pictures of wario spammed under his tweets lol) and went back to tumblr. I started following people with way more nuanced views of the world and not just fellow discourse-obsessed teenagers with really misguided beliefs and it helped me deprogram from a lot of honestly puritanical beliefs and realize i was wrong about many things (PLUS i don't get the impulse to check tumblr every 3 seconds like i did twitter, and thus i'm not as addicted) i've still got some things to improve on (like overcoming my feelings of being powerless in the world rn and the apathy that comes with it) but i'm proud of how far i've come, and i want scout to reflect that.
