my second talent swap with Shuichi as the Ultimate Bassist! 🎸

Shuichi's outfit is intentionally vague, since he is very insecure about his bass playing and tries to avoid it. similarly to his canon talent, he was given the title of Ultimate Bassist after a single performance which impressed a ton of people despite only having played bass for a short amount of time.

he believes he's undeserving of his title due to believing he is still far too inexperienced and tries to avoid requests for him to play bass, especially from his other musically talented peers.

inspirations: very, very loosely inspired by Cliff Burton, the second bassist from Metallica (who unfortunately passed away in 1986). Cliff is a well respected bass player by fans and Shuichi's Ultimate title is meant to reflect something similar. Cliff also liked classical music which ties in with Shuichi's close relationship with Kaede.

the school symbol on Shuichi's sleeve is a reference to Cliff's Misfits tattoo on his right arm.

Shuichi believes his bass playing isn't needed, which is based around the supposed idea that bass players aren't a necessity (which is wrong!!) in music.
