LONG TIME NO POST!!! I keep forgetting to check back here since I hadn't been drawing at all. 😭
BUT!!! BUT BUT BUT!!! I am so super excited because I was able to get a new desk recently and after only a few days of having it it's already made drawing SO much easier again. 🥺 I have so much space for it now... It's an L shaped desk and it makes it SO easy to just, swivel to the left and turn on my tablet and jump into drawing instead of having to shuffle everything around to draw like I used to have to do!!
I really hope I can be more active here now! I want to make more art friends and comment on people's stuff!

hobbies/interests: Entomology (especially lepidopterans!!!), video games, sewing, cooking, character and media analysis, figure collecting, voice acting
dream job: Honestly I don't know!! I would love to do entomology stuff, but I have a long way to go!

favorite medium: For myself, digital art!
favorite subjects (what do you like to draw, take pictures of, making music about, ect): My special interests... whatever makes me happy!! I really want to get into drawing bug art too though. (:
favorite artists/inspiration: I've always taken inspo from Derrick J. Wyatt's art, but also those kind of bold, shapey action cartoon styles in general... Like Batman The Animated Series and Brave and the Bold. But I'm always finding art inspo from everywhere! Right now I'm really into Ryoko Kui's art, she's really a genius to me with how she makes every character so distinct and have so much personality just based on appearances. But I've collected so many different inspirations over the years!
favorite period of art: Off the top of my head, I do not know. 😔 I really do love 70s scifi art though.
piece you're the most proud of: I haven't posted it here yet!! But I do really love the Killer Moth piece that was my first upload here. :D
how long have you been creating: Since I could hold a pencil basically! As a really small kid, my reward for finishing my homework would being able to draw in two pages of my sketchbook at the time. It just went from there!
how did you learn: From everywhere... I've taken very few formal classes (though I kind of WANT to, but without breaking the bank on college courses), but I've learned a lot from online resources, and applying what I learn and see! I still have so much I need to learn though, I'm always growing!
how long does it usually take you to make something: It depends... Sadly I'm dealing with recovering from pretty bad autistic burnout, it's made how much I draw suffer a lot. I'm working hard to beat it and to be able to draw more often! This also makes it kind of hard for me to record how long it takes me to draw something, since I'll have long periods of time between starting and finishing.
what's the big project you haven't got around to yet: A number of things... But I think, right now it's a personal zine on food allergies I really want to make!

Hi! My name is Vermis or Drury, but you can call me either. :D
I'm an autistic little worm who loves to draw my interests and passions, and using it to connect with others. 💖 I also sometimes make merch and sell it at conventions, but as of late I've been wanting to take back art as a passion more than anything.
I had seen some artists I follow talking about this place and immediately became enamored with the level of customization! I've been waiting for an art focused social media like this to show up again... I really love how here it feels back to those kinds of basics. (:
As for more about me, I'm someone who's very focused on my special interests! As of right now, they're DC Comics, Higurashi When They Cry, and Transformers Animated. I'm particularly focused on Killer Moth & Scarecrow, so you'll probably see quite a bit of them. That being said, I have a ton of interests I like to draw from time to time, as well as OCs I've been working on! I almost feel a little shy to share my art on a new place like this, but I'm still excited to begin sharing...!!
Another huge interest for me is insects, especially lepidopterans! I hope to be able to study them one day and to raise caterpillars and moths. 🐛💖🐛
