Under the demon's possession, the mask comes to life.
In the case that Margaret comes to be in grave danger, or her high emotions leave her vulnerable, Margaret’s body will be taken over by Shade. In this state, her strength and speed are amplified, her healing rate alarming, and she is unbothered by most mortal attacks.

Margaret’s mask also becomes much more animated in this state to the point that the permanent grin becomes its own mouth and is much toothier than previously perceived. Regarding behavior, Margaret may become more wild and erratic in her movements. Animalistic in some ways, but there is obviously intelligence.

During possessions, Margaret’s white rings for her eyes are replaced by twinkling red lights, or perhaps her eyes won’t show up at all unless at specific angles. If her eyes are unable to be seen, ways to tell that she is under the effects of possession are left up to her extremely lax body language when idling. Lax, tilted to the side, irregular steps in walking, or her arms that are otherwise barely moving and flopping at her sides. She will make unnerving, sudden movements and turn at irregular, sharp angles when alerted, ones that would not be possible when she is under control.
