The Pawns were made by a species known as the Asters. The Pawns make sure the Empire runs smoothly, but the Aster in charge can always decide to command the Pawns to do whatever they want them to do. The Pawns obey to all Asters, but usually they have a primary leader to which they are affiliated to.
