back in 2013, when chespin was announced, i did three piece of vector art based on the single image they showed. i only really finished one of them but i decided to use the third piece as the basis for this one. i knew i wanted to have chespin hanging off of someones shoulder but took me a while to come up with a context. liked the idea of their trainer at a market buying flowers (cuz its a grass type). really wanted to do some painterly DOF too so that was fun.
