One of my favorite things about being in a dnd campaign with my friends is being able to do my own spins on pre existing creatures' designs :P This was relevant for my character's whole backstory w/ them being a human who was raised by a hag. For this I was inspired by pitcher plants, frogs, eels, and the rankin bass Hobbit's interpretation of goblins. This was also a good excuse to figure out what Coreiseuse would have looked like as a little kid, and I thought it would be funny if they even then still primarily wore cloaks that made up 90% of their appearance.
