- They/Them
With sugar, with affection.
I saw this meme and decided to give it a try. I miss old journal memes like this :'D
1) How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
Uhh... many. I wouldn't be able to remember them at all, haha.
2) What does your current username mean?
Devaneios = Portuguese word for "daydreams"
Daydraws = Daydreams + Draws
... In other words, not very creative :'D
3) What is the first program you used to make digital art?
The famous MS Paint in Windows XP.
4) Where did you first start posting your art?
I'm pretty sure the first ever place I shared a drawing online was in a forum belonging to my online childhood friend, back in 2009. There was a section where we could create "Art Gallery" threads and my preteen self decided it was a wonderful idea to start doing digital art and posting it. Thankfully, I only posted one drawing there.
However... One year later I discovered the magical world of deviantART through a friend from Youtube, and the rest is history.
5) What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
The first digital drawing I made was a Digimon fanart, but I also used to doodle "fanart" in my sketchbooks before so it's hard to pinpoint. It was either Pokémon or Final Fantasy, as far as I remember.
6) Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
I used to make a lot of characters to represent myself but ended up giving easily on them/didn't fully understand the concept of a S/I, but I guess the one that stuck for at least a year and shared a lot with me was a self-insert I made for Dissidia Final Fantasy back in 2014. Unfortunately I ended up developing negative feelings towards the character after some bad memories from dA. Right now, I can't remember the character fondly at all.
7) Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
Non ecziste.
8) What/who inspired you to be an artist?
I feel ashamed to admit this, but I don't remember at all, haha. I've always been doodling as far as I remember. I can say that what inspired to me to try to learn how to draw "good" was when I discovered Pokémon: I wanted to draw the characters (both Pokémon and humans) well.
9) What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
Right now, Krita, and "sketchy" brushes. C:
