Finally had a chance to draw my main protag for a Pokémon series I wanna make at some point! Her name is Amity, and she is a 16 year old trainer excited to take on the gym challenge for an older region that’s kinda tied together with tape and glue due to not being apart of the actual official league because of creative differences, and thus not having the same budget nor the scope the other regions have for their gym challenges (Amity doesn’t care about the official tournaments, she just wants to become the champion of her birth region and make others realize this region has tough trainers on par with the rest of the world!)

Her starter Pokemon, a Kalosian Greninja, has the ability bond phenomenon, which when activated gives the two of them the ability to become one as Ash Greninja, a rare ability which hasn’t been seen in several decades and takes pretty much her whole journey and then some to master. Basically her inspiration is me going “They had such a cool thing going on with Ash Greninja but they only had like 1 season to use it and it wasn’t foreshadowed at all nor did it fit as well as it could considering Ash has been a trainer for several seasons now. They’re never gonna bring it back so I’m stealing it”. If the official Pokemon company won’t do it Justice then I am baby! I also decided to take advantage of a headcanon I have where Ash Greninja’s hair is the same as its trainer, and said trainer gets a sick as hell red eye when the form is active.
