Initially, when I came up with the concept for this piece, I thought it would be cool to draw a character surrounded by dandelions. But once it was finished, it made me think about how people use dandelions to make wishes. I started imagining this person surrounded by dandelions, making wishes all day, only to see none of them come true. Now, they’re feeling cynical about it all.
