Not sure if I was notified or not since I have some things turned off here, but after looking through my dates I discovered that this is my sheezy cake day! Can't believe a year went by so fast!

Honestly, it took me a while to pick an art site that I felt was "right" for me (as a former Deviantart creator) and I felt sheezy.art was the best choice. Looking at this past year, I don't regret my decision. I love the customization (which I've yet to take full advantage of), the gallery, the ability to take the time to enjoy and soak in works of art, something that is sorely missing in more fast pace, algorithm socials. Sure some people may prefer that style, but I for one prefer the sheezy method. It's nice to go back to what feels like the 2000s internet where things feels more calm and less corporate.

After DA left my account in ruins, I've thought about making sheezy my new home base, and.. I think I've pretty much settled on doing just that. At least until I create a neocites or something, though sheezy will be my main output on the more open web regardless. Bluesky is fine (I've yet to feel the need to update my sfw gt account there, it feels less um.. enjoyable imo? Idk), Tumblr has its own issues, and I'm not going back to Twitter and DA, so... yeah.

It's good to be here, and it's only going to get better once the rebuild comes. You bet I'm looking forward to it x3
