What if I gave him blue accents to contrast against Shredder’s red but also as foreshadowing/a parallel to Leo eventually taking the lead the way their sensei would. What if Splinter grew up in Feudal Japan but The Shredder attacked his village and some funky time travel mutation bullcrap sent him to the modern world and he suddenly had to take care of four entire children when he was just barely in his 20s. What if Splinter’s not even middle-aged yet and he’s currently in his late 30s at most. What if he’s paranoid about The Shredder returning and lowkey passed down some Generational Trauma ™ to his kids trying to prepare them for the worst. What if he’s well-meaning and kind and also a nervous wreck. What if he was a boomer who still does not understand how modern technology works.
