censorship summer is official

this is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for me: kinda felt derezzed after uploading my last public image, completely sfw, & watched it disappear from the newest section the moment i logged out. there's also the ridiculous mature tagging on this piece with "heavy gore" which still boggles me. the way i see it, labeling something like this as "heavy" gore could endanger anyone naive enough to want to view more "heavy" gore under the pretense it will be as "heavy" as in that image... maybe i'm jaded, but i just don't see it. it's also bothered me for awhile that mature/explicit thumbnails are completely disappeared depending on the site settings. at least hide them behind a blurred+locked thumbnail and show they still exist instead of scrubbing them away?

even so, the pros really outweighed the cons of the site until this, & i genuinely don't blame sheezy for complying with the law. i'm not uploading any ID cards to identify myself as a degenerate-content-enjoyer, and i don't think it's wise for anyone to do so.
