Will my future girlfriend think I'm gay if I wear this on our winter wonderland walks?

Frogged my original attempt at a knit pattern and started fresh on this crochet one instead. Was tough because it took so much effort, but tension and other issues was making it take so long to do that I hated working on it. Sometimes it makes sense to start fresh, and this was definitely one of those times.

Not really much to this one; it's a standard star stitch but on row 2 of the repeat I started with a decrease and ended on an increase. I went 16 stars wide which seemed enough though I'm wondering if one or two more might've been better, and I went until it seemed long enough to match an old scarf I have. Very unstructured, hardly a pattern.
