Finally decided to update my OG Ponysona after many years XD

I originally made Tidal Wave back in 2017, through this meme: https://www.deviantart.com/echo-of-the-sea/art/Ponysona-Creation-Meme-Tidal-Wave-679724068 and... felt there was something off about her design? Maybe it was my inexperience at the time with anything MLP combined with the limitations of using this pony maker? Oh, and 16 year old me refusing to make her a Princess, despite being an Alicorn, for the fear of her being called a Mary Sue.

Of course, cringe culture is dead, and 24 year old me doesn't care about any of that, I'm just here to have fun and make characters I love! So! Here's the new and improved Tidal Wave!

Born a Pegasus, she earned her Cutie Mark participating in her town's tornado duty as a filly. She worked at the Weather Factory for a bit, where she met Feather Frost ( https://toyhou.se/10025985.color-killer ) but still felt like... there was something more she was supposed to be doing? After all, her Cutie Mark implied the ocean, didn't it? She sought out the CMC for help, and through them she was introduced to Princess Twilight and she was eventually made an Alicorn, given the moniker "The Princess of Tides".

She now lives in a cloud castle over the ocean between Mount Aris and the old Storm King's island. Here, she monitors the unpredictable tropical storms and currents the unruly ocean could bring, helping to protect the inhabitants of Mount Aris, and the coastal regions of Equestria, from tropical devastation.
