Small update that I'm mostly posting so that I commit to it, I don't think I'll be participating in the challenge this month after all... I've really appreciated the way it's pushed me to finish pieces and improve my skills the last two months, but this month artfight is also pushing me to do my best, and I can only take so much pushing at once lol
I miiight still finish and submit the concept art for one of the designs, but the full piece definitely wouldn't be done in time and I didn't wanna stress about it. I've also got a lot of cleaning I've been putting off while crunching on art, and it would be nice to free up the time for it. I'm excited for the challenge next month and I wanna be as fresh faced and smooth cheeked for it as possible
Other than that, I'm hoping to post my artfight attacks on here after I finish the one I'm on currently ! ok bye bye for now
I've been in a tizzy about posting my art on here or engaging with the social side of the site like following people and favoriting/commenting on art. the monthly challenges got me to post but otherwise I've been too nervous because there's a worm in my brain that makes me scared (see illustration below). but that's why I'm making this post so maybe I won't be so nervous anymore
I thought it would be cool to talk about stuff I wanna do with my page. I wanted to draw and code an interactive bookshelf with all my favorite pieces of art (books, graphic novels, video games, movies, music etc.) + little trinkets. you can hover over the items and it'll highlight it and give a little popup with a synopsis and my thoughts... I know I can't do that directly on sheezy or at least not without a subscription, but I thought maybe I could do it through a website embed ? still figuring it out and it would be neat for a personal website anyway
oh and I wanted to make an interactive commission price sheet Though slapping some PNGs up would get the job done
also I sketched a cool pattern to replace the temporary background! but I probably won't finish it while I'm still doing artfight and the monthly challenge
speaking of the challenge, I've got the idea and part of the sketch so far... there's two subjects again this time (would have just done one for the sake of ease but I couldn't help myself with the theme being a VS.. epic battle of the ages) and I really hope I can squeeze in a background too but I gotta get more headway on it if I wanna make it happen. They're both designs that I was workshopping before this month but I thought they would be good picks for the theme. 1 of them is already almost solid but I haven't hashed the details out on the other... it was actually originally going to be a design for my sheezy banner! maybe I'll still do that after finishing the challenge piece although I've grown fond of those banana guys marching up there.. might have to illustrate a proper parade of them...
that's all I got 4 now I think... I'm gonna go work on an artfight drawing and try not to get too much sweat on my tablet. I might post some art if I'm not too busy but hopefully you'll at least see me before august. peace ✌
