Daybreak is the mysterious and intelligent Head Sister of the Cavern of the Sisters in Rise of the Moon. The Cavern of the Sisters houses a mysterious group of matriarchal cats who do not worship StarClan, and have a greater swath of territory than the clans could ever imagine. They succeed at keeping it by having outposts, where assigned squadrons keep watch.

Unlike the books, this version of the Sisters do not draw such a hard gender line. While typically the mollies remain in the cavern governing spiritual duties and making advancements in science (the cats of the Cavern can read) and the toms at outposts, with non-binary being in the lifestyle they choose, any cat may have any job or path, so long as they promise to safeguard the land and the spirits with their hearts.
