I think there is hardly any character of mine who went through so many changes over the years... and I am still not sure if this should be his final design or not, but I'm getting there. Or if I shouldn't ditch the character altogether and start from scratch.

Mer(idian) is of human origin, but his DNA has been tampered with, allowing him to transform into a more animalistic (and thus more dangerous) shape.

I wasn't too fond of the overly animal/feline looks (bc there is rly no feline in him), I like the idea of keeping some human aspects for now.

I really need to draw him as human sometimes again, too.
