Desert-dwelling creature.

They're factually "blind", however, they have the ability to map out the topography of their surroundings by an organ in their head measuring radiation levels; since they live in a post-apocalyptic world that was nuked to crap, top layers of soil are highly radioactive, while lower layers are less affected.
With their multiple, articulated ears they also have excellent, multi-layered hearing, and that niffer is lmost on par with a dog's nose.

That's a fatsack under the chin, btw. They store rich fat (aka nutrition) in there similar to camels storing it in the hump on their backs. The sack therefore can look bigger or smaller than what's displayed here, depending on when they last had a fulfilling meal or a gulp of water.

Btw these guys are HUGE. Think bigger-than-house huge.
