From 2024. This is actually a pretty personal/vent piece. In June of 2024, I received the terrible news that the university I went to had shut down. No prior warning, no reasons given, just from now on, we're closing our doors for good. Literally hundreds of years and thousands of artists home bases just... gone.

In order to feel kind of at peace with the bad news, I drew this. Peaches and my school's mascot, Arty the unicorn, in the style of the end scene of the Bluey episode 'Dragon', which has a heavy allegory for loss as its undertone.

I'm still not completely over the loss of my college community, and I'm still unable to find work as an artist outside from one off commission work (and I'm still uncertain if my indie toy line will take off or not), but one of these I'll see my fellow Unicorns again. One of these days I'll do what I love for a living. One of these days I'll make Arty proud.

But until then, RIP UArts and RIP Arty. You weren't perfect, but you were mine.
