Wow. Another impulse illustration. How do I do it.
I don't even remember how I got the idea. I just remember sketching Andrew and Hunter with the vague idea of them being in a poster. Or something. Or like a comic cover. I almost added my username, but 1.) I figured that'd look a little dorky, since I didn't plan it out, and 2.) I didn't wanna give the impression I was dropping an actual comic or something.
The shading was... experimental. It's kinda bad... but I also kinda like it. Funky. I played with some textured brushes I found and used a teal I had saved in one of my palettes. Decided to run with it and some minor tweaks.
OH! Fun fact about why I call this project "Cohabitation". Obviously the definitions have some relevance, but I've had these characters since I started high school, but I got the name from a chapter in my college sociology textbook my junior year. I think it was on families, marriage, etc. naturally. It spoke to me for some reason, I guess as a young closeted queer person.
It also just felt so "them" to me. Yeah they are eventually in a relationship, but most of their relationship is based on cohabitating by the broadest definition. Like no matter what stage in life they're in, they are somehow cohabitating while together. That was my reasoning.
Here, a song for you that reminds me of them. (Lights and eyestrain warning).
