A warm breeze gently ruffled the leaves in the Amber Woods. Fireflies buzzed around, their light gently illuminating the dense forest. A full moon gently glowed high above, dappling the forest floor with silver light.

Cyon and Ethan padded through the forest, glancing around nervously. Cyon turned her head toward Ethan, eyes glittering nervously. “Ethan… I think we’ve been here before.”

Ethan returned Cyon’s gaze. “No, I don’t think we’ve been in this spot.” He replied, unable to recall being here before. “What makes you think we’ve been here?”

"Look at that stump. Didn't you comment on it before?" She asked, pointing at the stump. "You said something about it being hollow."

Ethan glanced at the stump, sighing when he realized that Cyon was indeed correct. They had been in this area before, and quite a bit ago, if he remembered correctly. “Well, we’re not getting anywhere if we just stand here… Come on, Cyon, let’s go.”

He gazed back at Cyon, only to see her approaching the stump curiously. He walked beside her, wanting to see what was piquing her curiosity. She poked her head inside the stump and exclaimed happily, “Ethan, look!”

He gazed inside, and his eyes widened. It was a nest of glow worms, and all of them were quite lively, writhing around the hollow stump. Cyon reached her arm inside and scooped up a handful of the wriggling bugs.

He looked at the mass of glow worms in Cyon’s hand, fascinated at how they wiggled around in her palm. Cyon looked mesmerized by them, as it was her first time seeing glow worms in person. Suddenly, she shoved the handful into her mouth, quickly swallowing the bugs.

Ethan stood still, trying to process what his friend had just done. When he finally was able to speak, Cyon was reaching into the stump again, clearly aiming to eat more of the glow worms. He reached out a hand to stop her, but it was too late. She had eaten more of the glowing bugs.

“Cyon, what are you doing!?” He exclaimed. “Why are you eating bugs, Cyon!?”

Cyon looked back at Ethan with a playful glitter in her eyes. “They’re not bugs, Ethan,” She calmly replied. “It’s bioluminescent spaghetti.”
