Violaine's origins are shrouded in mystery, rumored to be born under an ominous sky or to a lineage touched by forbidden arts. Discovered as an infant with an innate connection to Electro and an unsettling affinity for spiders, she was quickly ostracized or exploited. She wandered Teyvat from a young age, honing her dark powers in isolation. Her prodigious talent quickly manifested, allowing her to master dark, blood, and voodoo magic far beyond her years. She found solace and companionship in arachnids. Her Electro Vision manifested during a moment of intense emotional turmoil. She once did time in the Fortress of Meropide as punishment for an act perceived as dark or dangerous by the authorities, before eventually moving to the region of Nod-Krai to continue her studies.
