I remember
Childish doodles of wolves in class
Tracing dragons and carving stamps
A childhood unburdened
By the world

I remember
Notebooks full of daydreams
Things to hide from parents
Notes passed in class and games on the playground
A mind bright
With inspiration and promise

I remember
A child faster than any other
Catching lizards
Running laps and playing tag
A body unbroken
By time

This is an older poem. It's the first one I wrote in a long time, maybe a few months back. Another personal piece.
