A concept piece I did for my LMK oc, the Jade Rabbit!
This is because I am currently in the process of drawing up the pages for the first chapter of my fancomic "镜花水月 (Jìnghuā Shuǐyuè)"
meaning: "Flowers in the Mirror, Moon in the Water" or in a simpler format "Mirror Flower, Water Moon", and is an old proverb in Chinese.

This character while an oc in the context of LMK, is actually based on a well known mythological figure in Chinese culture, Tù'eryé or better known as the Moon/Jade Rabbit. I personally find the Jade rabbit a very interesting concept as its self sacrificial nature is what earned it its immortality when offering itself to a starving man (the Jade emperor in disguise), and then becoming something of an always present figure alongside the Moon Goddess Chang'e. So exploring this idea and putting my own spin on things was really fun.
