Chio (She/Her) has been an idol for as long as she can remember. But don’t let that fool you into thinking she has had an easy life. Training to become an idol was hard, and any other dreams she may have had as a child have long since been forgotten. At first, things were great. The attention, the praise, the adoring fans. However things took a darker turn as Chio started to realize that the attention was objectification, the praise was hollow, and the fans didn’t really love HER, they loved the idea of her.

Chio quickly realized that who she was inside didn’t matter, as long as she was beautiful on the outside. She grew a nasty attitude behind the curtains of her stage, hoping to get a “real” reaction from those around her. But all she received was the same hollow praise. Now cold to the world, she isn’t afraid to insult or threaten others, and only bothers to smile if a fan is watching. She lives trapped and alone in her life, without a friend to turn to who could understand the “real her”. But it is a prison of her own making after all, I mean, with a personality like hers, who would even want to be her real friend anyway?

Maybe someday a hardy Griffolk will come along who won’t give in to her fame, or be frightened off by her harsh words. But until that day comes, Chio will continue to travel around Griffia, hosting her shows and smiling for her fans as always.
