Got tagged by @willowbone and @ellteo so here I am.....
BASICS:
name/nickname: My name is Cerise, but I also go by Sawyer online!
gender: Nonbinary with a sprinkle of femme and masc
pronouns: He/him or she/her!
age: [redacted]
location: PNW
fun fact: I have a sketchbook full of fantasy world maps but I've never posted them online. :D
hobbies/interests: Drawing, reading, playing video games, thinking about nature....
dream job: Making a living doing art, graphic design, playing video games, all wrapped in one.
ART:
favorite medium: Definitely digital art. It took me a while to make the transfer from paper and pencil to digital art, but I'm so glad I did. Though I do love sketching on paper from time to time still.
favorite subject: Fantasy.......OCs, settings, world maps, etc.
favorite artists/inspiration: Hmm. Definitely gotta put my friends @ellteo and @willowbone on the list. :3c But otherwise, TerraTerrific has always been a big inspriration of mine, as a fellow digital artist and adopt creator. There's too many to mention, but a lot of them are mutuals on TH, dA, and Twitter - you know who y'all are! As for other artists that shaped my upbringing, Naoko Takeuchi, Arina Tanemura, Rumiko Takahashi, and many other Japanese manga artists are on the list.
favorite period of art: Rococo and Baroque...I love me the overly detailed and gilded, pretty and soft paintings and architecture.....and then the darkness of baroque that came after it? Beautiful.
piece you're the most proud of: Hard to answer, but maybe the winter exchange piece I did in January. It's one of the first times I've attemtped a proper background.
how long have you been creating: I started drawing when I was 6, but started making adopts and such things about....a few years ago now?
how did you learn: Honestly, I just started trying to draw Sailor Moon when I was 6, and never stopped.
how long does it usually take you to make something: Honestly, it now comes down to my arm and how much it hurts. I used to be able to pump out art like crazy, to the point of overworking myself....and now I have had an RSI since February that has made me have to compeltely refocus what I make. So I'm learning how to take breaks between certain steps. ; v ;a
what's the big project you haven't got around to yet: I have always wanted to create my own tarot deck...I mean, I wouldn't jsut stop at one deck, but it'd be nice to get to a point in my art where I can do something cool and stylized.
