stealing this one from @northofnothing
northofnothing tried to not use the same ocs twice so i'm going to try that too
1.) Which of your characters represent you the most?
I try not to project too many of my own traits onto any individual characters because I don't want to make them all too samey, but when I made Hayven I was explicitly basing them on myself. I don't think we share that many similarities anymore though. Thank god I'm not in middle school.

2.) Which of your characters represent you the least?
This is pretty hard... no matter how hard I might try, there's a little bit of me in all of them. I guess I like to think I don't share any traits with Kane, but there's probably something

3.) What is your favorite design you made?
Sincerely. I struck gold with this design, it's simple yet easily recognizable, easy to doodle everywhere, extremely cute... the perfect animal

4.) What is your favorite design you own?
I don't buy or trade designs, all of them are designed by me (a few older ones might have had a friend's influence though). So I'm sticking with Sincerely on this one.
5.) What is your biggest yet-to-obtain dreamy?
Like I said, I don't buy or trade designs so I don't generally want to buy or trade for them either. I guess it would be nice to have something from fourleafisland though, they're an extremely good character designer.
6.) What is your most prized achieved dreamie?
non applicable
7.) What is your oldest character?
That's pretty difficult... my oldest characters were all made when I was extremely young so I don't have solid documentation for a lot of them. I'm going to say Kiara, because I know she's one of the oldest at least

8.) What is your newest character?
I don't really remember, but I'm going to say Velvarn. The idea of her has been around for a while but I only recently gave her a solid design, name, and personality
(she's the one with purple eyes)

9.) Favorite feral character you own?
Lavandael... have you seen her? Now you have. One of my all time favorite OCs
![]()
10.) Favorite human(oid) character you own?
I only have, like, one. Here's Decay. It's the only human character I ever draw.

11.) Favorite anthro character you own?
Valrik. Right next to Lavandael as one of my favorite OCs of all time.

12.) First original species character you obtained?
I'm not in the original species community at all. You know, unless you count the species I've made for my own stories. In that case, almost all of them are an original species so uhhh, Aglithael. Another all time favorite

13.) What character do you plan to shower with love next?
I don't know! Whichever one my brain decides to latch onto next, I guess. I'd like it to be Bune though. She needs some development.

14.) What character holds the most $$$ value?
they are all worth a single human life (its my life, you'll have to kill me for them. If I lose the fight, I don't deserve them)
15.) What character has the most art?
Valrik, probably. I've drawn this thing a lot
16.) What character has the most favorites?
Just now realizing that this entire meme is most likely supposed to be answered on toyhouse. I don't use toyhouse anymore so I don't know </3 I think it should be Lavandael, have you seen her? She's perfect. Look at her, she deserves it

17.) Any characters you co-own?
Not anymore? I've done collaboration projects with friends before, but they all fell apart eventually. I think Raven is the closest. He's technically my brother's character from when we roleplayed with stuffed animals together so I feel bit bad about using him still but it's not like he's using him... and he's changed enough, probably

18.) If you had to give up all your ocs but one, which would you keep?
oh god thats a nightmare scenario. I have to pick one that doesnt rely on the others so much that they would stop having a story without them. uhm. Decay?
19.) Any characters based off of show/book/movie/game?
Myrith was originally based on a manga character. I'm not telling you which one, I'm shy. take a wild guess who the demon bird that makes a deal with a teenager is based on.

20.) Your smartest character?
Jack contains all the knowledge in the universe. Which feels like cheating

21.) Your clumsiest character?
Kitty could set off a whole Rube Goldberg machine by tripping once

22.) Your evilest character?
Kane, probably? He's the most unapologetically evil, at least.
23.) Your sweetest character?
Valrik :3
24.) Do you have a season/holiday themed character?
Victor is my Valentine's Day character!

25.) A character you are currently wanting to rehome more than any?
None of them. I never get rid of characters because 1. I made them, they're mine forever and 2. even if I stop using them, I like to recycle names, designs, and backstories instead of making an entirely new character.
26.) Which of your character's names do you like most?
for writing: Ruinerve, I guess? I don't think about this very often (pictured below)
for hearing: Sincerely. it's a very good word

27.) Which character have you drawn most?
Probably Velgar, honestly. I almost said Valrik but there is so much Velgar art that's been lost to time and he's so much older.

28.) Any hybrid characters?
Lavandael II and Sheriving (they're twins)

29.) Your most unique character?
I like to think that whatever Ragyre has going on is pretty unique

Yippeeee, you know i love journal memes
RULES:
Pick one option per question if possible - even the smallest preference counts. If not possible, explain your answer!
Digital art OR traditional art?
Digital! I like being able to fix my mistakes... I really like the look of traditional but I've never really been able to grasp it much myself. I've tried out a lot of different mediums and enjoyed most of them but I didn't continue pursuing most of them. I draw in my physical sketchbook pretty often, but all my fully finished pieces are done digitally.
Original concepts/characters OR fanart/canon characters?
I love OCs!!!!!!!! OCs are my life!!!!!!!!!!!! That's not to say I don't like fanart or never make it, but I'm much much more likely to make OC art and if I am making fanart of something, a fan OC is probably involved somehow.
Original fiction OR fanfiction?
Funnily enough, I don't actually write about my OCs that often, I mostly keep them in art and their stories in my brain, but I have written a few things for them. My current writing project is a fanfiction but only by technicality; the world is taken from a preexisting property but all of the characters are my own. So I guess I still lean towards original fiction.
Sketch OR lineart?
Sketch I love sketching
Coloring OR shading?
Shading, there's something so satisfying about it
Handwritten signature OR text signature?
Handwritten
Shrink canvas OR add a filter before posting?
I'm pretty sure this is about methods to prevent art theft but honestly I don't do either of these things, I'm just trusting everyone to be Normal. And I sign most of my art.
Messy art OR clean art?
I like a good middle ground. Just messy enough to look natural while still being clean enough to be understandable
Bright colors OR muted colors?
Muted colors, I love you dull grays
Warm colors OR cold colors?
Warm! Something so beautiful oranges, reds, and yellows
Graphics tablet with screen OR no screen?
no screen!!! I don't like my hand obscuring the screen
Humans OR nonhumans?
nonhumans, never make me draw a human
Fur OR scales?
fur. I just like drawing it, but scales are growing on me
Edgy characters OR wholesome characters?
egdy characters, cover that thing with blood
High-poly models OR low-poly models?
low-poly, theyre so charming
Music OR podcasts while drawing?
music! I love podcasts, but I have a hard time focusing on both whats being said and what im drawing
hai. i got this one from @beuxpatawn while i was looking through the journalmeme tag. yay yippee
1. How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
About 6 i've used for main accounts, but ive used countless others for private or side accounts. Lycosiday is my current "main" username
2. What does your current username mean?
It's the scientific name for wolf spider but with a Y at the end instead of an E. Wolf spiders are my favorite kind of spider!
3. What is the first program you used to make digital art?
an app called Artflow I installed on my mom's tablet. I still have all the art I made on there :3
4. Where did you first start posting your art?
Deviantart
5. What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
Pokemon probably? I've been a pokemon fan basically my entire life. My sister was a fan before I was born so all her pokemon stuff got passed down from my other sister, my brother, and to me, including a how to draw pokemon book.
6. Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
My first fursona was a brown wolf named Eclipse. I was still an Egg at the time, but I still count Eclipse as one of the names I've gone by because I genuinely really wanted to go by it, even if no one else wanted to call me that. I still hold Eclipse close to my heart and I want to draw it more. I sort of redesigned it in the form of Lycosiday, a wolf/spider hybrid fursona that's named after my username, just like how Eclipse inspired my original online username.
7. Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
My current fursona is Sincerely, which is the cat/rabbit thing you can see everywhere on my profile. Sincerely's a lot smaller than Eclipse, has wildly different lore attached and is a much simpler design.
8. What/who inspired you to be an artist?
My sister is the reason I started drawing in the first place, but I started getting serious about art because of Ava G's FNAF animations on youtube.
9. What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
I'm forever a Firealpaca user!!!! Firealpaca's Analog brush is my darling beloved and is the biggest reason I haven't gone to a different program. No other program with a brush anything like Analog has that brush be affected by anti-aliasing in the same way and it makes me insane. I use this brush with anti-aliasing ticked off and that's one of the core parts of the way i use it! solid colors make my life so much easier
