Autistic + chronically ill photographer, artist, writer, occasional musician, full-time nerd and generic weird person. Eternal work in progress.
Jumping right on the bandwagon just like old times. :D Copied from @redbuzzarddart
Age: 39
Gender: I dunno I just live here. Somewhere in the general nonbinary vicinity.
Pronouns: prefer they/them if you're sticking to one but accept she/they/he as well as shi/hir
Sexuality: Bi/demi
Height: 5'3"
Location: Midwestern US
Fun fact: I used to have such a broad vocal range at 16 years old, my music teacher started me singing opera. Unfortunately I've lost much of my soprano range over the years.
Dream job: Never settled on one. Turns out it's just as well - a various mishmash of disabilities have joined forces to make it difficult for me to work, so I don't.
Favorite Color(s): various shades of blue
Least Favorite Color(s): bubblegum pink
Favorite Song: Always have trouble answering this one because it changes with mood. Floats anywhere between meme music, various 80s and 90s songs, and nice piano solos. Tonight's stuck-in-my-head nice song is River Flows In You by Yiruma
Favorite Bands/Artists: See above. Hard to pin down. I do often gravitate to ABBA, but also picked up a fondness for Jimmy Buffet and The Beach Boys thanks to my mom. Fair amount of Depeche Mode in my collection. Buck-Tick. Was a big fan of Crystal Gayle as a kid. Still also rather fond of The Carpenters. Listened to a lot of Loreena McKennitt as a teenager. Ella Baila Sola - still fond of them. One of my teachers got me hooked on Shakira before she started doing songs in English.
Favorite Podcasts: I don't really have the attention span for podcasts unfortunately.
Favorite Food: POTATOES MY BELOVED (leaving this answer because same)
Favorite Bird: Oh god that's a hard one. There are so many good birds in the world. But if I had to choose I'm probably gonna go corvid. Love the local crows, and we've actually had a few ravens moving back into the region.
Favorite Animal(s): Wolves are the big one. Big fan of foxes too. And dholes. Lotta good canids out there. Jaguars are just really freaking cool. Yellow garden spiders. Bold jumping spiders. Black ratsnakes because they are silly goofy doofuses who try to eat things they shouldn't. Garter snakes. Colubrids in general are a delightful group of guys. For domestic animals I suppose by default I have to go with cats. Dogs are great too but I have never been without cats.
Favorite Celebrity: Pedro Pascal (me and half the planet these days apparently OMG his career really took off)
Favorite Time of Day: Evening
Favorite Holiday(s): Halloween
Favorite Season: Autumn
Favorite Fruit: Pomegranate
Least Favorite Fruit: Cantaloupe or those really mealy/grainy textured pears.
Favorite Flower: Dandelion and chicory
Favorite Emoji(s): 🙃🥺😐
Favorite Hobby: This one's another moving target. Drawing and writing go in rotation. Love reading. Video games but I haven't had the energy lately. Also recently repainted a toy unicorn and I kinda want to try repainting more toys now just for fun (especially since acrylics do eventually expire and I have... so much gesso)
Favorite Weather: Nice mix of sun and clouds so it's not too bright but not gloomy. Cool enough for coffee weather or a light jacket. Low humidity unless the conditions are right for just a little mist to feel good.
Name of Your Pet(s): Night (my cat)
Introvert or Extrovert: Distinction's muddier than most make it out to be, but introvert fits me more.
Woods or City: Woods.
TV or YouTube: Youtube most often lately. Don't get on-air TV out here though I do have a few streaming services I use some.
Phone or Computer: Computer. Phone's fine and all for some things but I grew up using an actual keyboard and mouse and those touchscreen keyboards are so tiny.
