The piece on the left was drawn at the end of 2014 when Dom and I started dating, while the piece of the right was drawn at the end of 2024, after Dom passed away. The original piece was accompanied with a poem, pasted below - slightly edited for my DA posting.

I left 2014 with my fiancé Dominic at my side,
But I’m leaving 2024 with him having died.

I know I’ll love you forever,
As far as I’m concerned we’re still together.

So have a heavenly Happy New Year,
I look to the stars and hear the beat of my heart to know you’re always here.

Dommo I love you until the end of the line,
Because I am yours and you are mine.
