He wishes to go on adventures like those in the fantasy books he reads and the stories his father told him about his adventures, but he often struggles with self-doubt and worries. He has a twin sister named Dolly, and he makes sure she remembers and records what they're supposed to do. Max brings out Olly's sassier side, leading to playful arguments between them, reminiscent of an old married couple. Even though they argue a lot, he still considers Max his best friend and is secretly inspired to be more confident. He's not sure what these deep emotional feelings are.
