The Masher is another being I was unfamiliar with, so I looked for it in the encyclopedia at Castle Dedede. To my surprise, it lacked an entry! I asked one of the Waddle Dees about it, and one of them told me it's a monster that Dedede once ordered to attack Kirby. The King did not seem to remember it. This gave me the sudden thought that it might have happened in an alternate universe. I entered Lor Starcutter and set off to find it. I had to visit some desolate and abandoned realities before I found one with any sign of life.
In that universe, Castle Dedede looked quite old and rested atop a cliff next to a village. I know from experience that timelines are easily broken, so I approached with caution. Once the coast was clear, I entered the castle. Getting to the throne room was quite a challenge, as the layout was completely different from what I'm used to! The King was yelling at a salesman speaking to him though a monitor. This Dedede was certainly more... impulsive. Once he left, a leaflet fell on the floor for a company specializing in monsters. After looking through it, I found Masher at last! Apparently it's "the hottest product"... So was everything else advertised.
