Ezra (They/She) is a binturong and Kai (He/Him) is an African wild dog. They are married <3

They are both royal scientists in their day-job meaning they work directly under the jurisdiction of the holy council in Cinderhallow. Ezra is an umbralogist, (meaning they work with Umbrum) and Kai is a theologist. In my headworld, theologists are scientists that study phenomena relating to the two gods, Solem and Edax. Since most sapient life on Zyterra is either agnostic or atheist, the intrigue of such a job lies in gaining the opportunity to research and induce supernatural anomalies.

The vast majority of Kai's job is postulating theories, so the attire could be described as....scientist casual? The work doesn't get more intense than that until an opportunity arises for it. Ezra on the other hand, works a job where there is a daily risk of being bit, scratched, punctured, and exposed to spores and/or foreign germs, hence the need for full body cover and a respirator mask. (Long tails are physically kept close to the body and off the floor at all times as tying them up could pose a balance risk. They can be bagged if greater protection is needed.)
