I wanted for so long to do a Cirno animation, and finally this 2025 I was able to finish one for Cirno Day
Watch Cirno's Gelato at Sheezy.art
On this post I'm going to do a brief explanation of which was the workflow that I took for this animation, keep in mind that I do this for fun on my free time so don't follow my steps for a professional project.
These are the key I tools that I use to finish this animation:
- Pen and paper
- Macromedia Flash 8 (with a pen display)
- Audacity (with a microphone)
The Storyboard
After thinking which would be the core of the story (just a small crude joke) I started to draw directly onto a storyboard, just wanted to tell more with visuals, and of course the storyboard has to be made with pen and paper.

For me staying away from a screen on this phase, help me shape the key parts of the story with a more human way
After finishing the Storyboard I just put each panel into flash frames to guide me through the story
Concept Art
This time I draw a front view o Cirno and Dai directly into flash as a reference to check and pick colors

Animation
With Flash's brush I start doing the key movements, then I've usually do the clean drawing's with Flash's pencil (except faces or other detailed stuff) and start animating, I usually mix fbf and tweening.

Voices
After animating everything without mouths I do the script, elaborating what does every character say, and then Me and SmileCats start doing the actual voices.

Then I've adjust them and including it at the animation. One funny thing is that the smoothie idea came after doing the voices so I redraw Cirno with a smoothie for the final part

Mouth animation
Using the English voices, I start animating mouths, I need to listen carefully and try to draw the key sounds of each phrase, I struggle doing this part but I manage to finish it.

Final Touches
This part feels like when you're falling in a roller coaster, because the animation looks almost completed but I there's small things left:
Finding music to match the animation, and adjust it into the animation
Finding effect sounds for your animation
Video editing, Descriptions, subtitles, thumbnail art ... etc
This time I recorded all the animating time lapse, take a look at it if you're curious
I've used HJfod's song for the time lapse and the credits, it's a real banger

Well thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoy this animation, and also I hope this motivates you to create your own art ! we always need more human art
Sheezy.Art a new site inspired by the old SheezyArt.com (we used to call it SA ) this was unexpected !
I really apreciate the effort that Sheezy staff is doing on this new site, and I hope it blows up all across the internet.

This new site is bringing me a lot of nostagia ...
Before SheezyArt I joined DeviantArt around 2004, I was uploading some of my early drawings and crude flashes there, but one day my friend Goo told me via Yahoo messenger about SheezyArt
I decided to give it a try, and I loved it ! the most cool feature was that you were able to show flash files on the profile.
The art was unique, I remember some good trolling games, like one that after pressing the jump button intermediately crush your character into spikes.
I didn't have so many friends on SheezyArt back then, but I meet one of my pals that I consider my brother @sonucais we met at Newgrounds, but SA was one of the sites that we were connected.

Sonucais and I talking on the board of DeviantArt
I also had the chance to meet Edd from eddsworld we even have a talk via Msn messenger and play together Mario Kart DS. Sadly, I've got grounded around 2006 - 2007 for being too much time in front the computer and failing at midschool so when I get back to SheezyArt I've lost touch with him.

Nice comment of Edd on my old profile
Now I have the chance to enjoy a little bit more Sheezy and I'll try to upload all my newer animations (on actuall Flash format) thank you Sheezy.Art for using ruffle !
