And for some character lore:
Kai reluctantly becomes a caretaker for Ro, but overtime, he starts having a brother/sister sort of bond with her!
Eventually, because the rules of the town they're in says that overtime, if you're taking care of a child long enough, you're by law their guardian, Kai ends up becoming Ro's father via the laws of their home, Canyon.

However, when he actually does start warming up to the idea of fatherhood, he starts having fun specifically teaching her things!
One of his biggest loves is Vehicles and Maths because of his hometown, Railway, being a town of vehicle lovers keeping the heritage of old-world trains and vehicles alive!
So he starts teaching her these special interests of his TwT
He's also trying to learn sign language to teach Ro, as she herself is mute :')
