I know that Odysseus probably wasn't around in the crossroads in Hades 2 when Hecate took Melinoe in as a baby, but the idea that he could finally help take care of an infant and help raise a kid could NOT leave my head after playing Hades 2, after listening to Epic AND after reading the entirety of the Odyssey. I had to draw him holding Melinoe, just once. (I actually sketched out multiple concepts and doodles, and even tried writing a fic about this idea, but this was the ultimate accumulation of this idea in it's entirety!)

Third times the charm but unfortunately, the kid you're lookin' after is- by cruel fate- a god.
That's why I imagine he'd be a little..... standoffish on the idea of raising her, hence Hecate's comforting hand on his shoulder and his solemn expression :')
