With the help of donations and commission earnings, I have about $860 / $1,700 for my cat's tail amputation in a month. More information and proof of Thunder's appointments can be found here
Tldr: My cat hurt his tail on an accordion door overnight and needs an amputation, my family can't afford the costs so I'm doing my best to save up money for the surgery. Donations are appreciated, but sharing is also very helpful. Furry commissions are open on Vgen and Kofi to help with his treatment.
His tail tip hasn't fallen off at the time of writing this, so after talking with the vet partial amputation is becoming more of a possibility. I increased my ko-fi goal to $300 since that is the minimum price of the procedure.
Besides that Thunder is in high spirits, he's eating, drinking, peeing, and pooping regularly. I think he'll he ok, it's just a matter of paying for his treatment.
Thank you to those who have donated and commissioned me so far.
Next vet visit will cost around $75, not accounting for the additional treatment Thunder needs. I have $10.78 to my name rn so...
All kofi commissions are 30% off so I'm able to afford my cat's treatment.
For context: My cat got stuck under an accordion door trying to get into the closet at night, he freaked out and tore off the tip of his tail trying to get out. We took him to an emergency vet where they gave him antibiotics and pain killers, which drained all of my savings. He needs additional treatment but it's hard to save up money, my mom is disabled and unable to work meanwhile art is my only source of income until we have transportation.
Anything helps, and if you can't spare any money spreading the word is just as helpful.
One of my younger cats, Thunder, was badly injured last night and I'm not sure how. I didn't hear anything because I'm a heavy sleeper.
I can use my savings to cover the emergency vet visit but I likely won't be able to cover treatment costs, if anyone can spread the word or help at all I'll really appreciate it.
I have commissions open on Kofi and Vgen, I'm more than willing to work for money.
I have a post up on Bluesky if anyone wants to share that.
To get used to Ko-fi, I've set up a discount code for 20% off all comm options! The code is valid until Jan 31, type MATCATR20 at checkout or click this link before the week ends to get a discounted commission :3
I'm taking 3 slots max at the moment to not overwhelm myself! If they get taken and I get any done before the week ends, the slot will become available again <3
