A piece made for my OC Xane's birthday. The date has shifted around through his development (and is not reflective of the day I actually made him; that would be difficult to precisely know), but for at least a year now I have settled his special day to be May 13. For once, I wanted to actually acknowledge this day by making a piece of art of him. I also seeked out making something detailed, elaborate, and maybe a little self-indulgent to try being a little more experimental. I had practically no plan (and any that I had became outdated) and played it by ear, which resulted in a more floaty approach to composition and colors. However I think the looseness worked in my favor and am very satisfied with how this piece came out. :-)
